Insta Yummy Recipes

On Instagram, I usually post some of the meals that I cook at home. Photos of my meals get one of the most “Likes” probably because my IG followers want the recipes.

Your wish is my command!

Here are the two recipes I recently uploaded on Instagram:

Jenni’s Juicy Chicken Burgers

(Photo using Instagram)

Ingredients:
1 kilo ground chicken (tip: choose your chicken meat. Best to buy chicken breast fillet and have it grounded by the butcher in the supermarket.)
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup terriyaki sauce
3 tbsp non- fat milk
salt pepper
olive oil
flour

Easy peasy:
Step 1: Mix all ingredients and form patties.
Step 2: Dust the patties with flour then fry them in olive oil, medium heat.
Step 3: This is optional, but I recommend it, once the patties are cooked, drizzle a bit of terriyaki sauce on both side and heat it up for 15-30 seconds just to give the burgers a caramelized crust.

Make your own terriyaki sauce:
Ingredients:
1/4 cup soy sauce 1 cup water (optional, for thinning the sauce) 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger or minced ginger; 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder; 5 tablespoons packed brown sugar 1-2 tablespoon honey; 2 tablespoons cornstarch; 1/4 cup cold water
Directions: 1. Mix all except cornstarch and 1/4c water in a sauce pan and begin heating. 2. On a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and cold water in a cup and dissolve. Add to sauce in pan. 3. Heat until sauce thickens to desired thickness. 4. Add water to thin if you over-thick it.

Crispy Creamy Goat Cheese and Truffle Omelette

(Photo using Instagram)

Ingredients:
2 eggs
3 tbsp non-fat milk
goat cheese
shaved truffle or truffle oil
Himalayan Pink salt, pepper
1 tsp olive oil

Easy peasy:
Step 1: Beat eggs with milk.
Step 2: In a non-stick pan, add olive oil. Pour beaten eggs in the pan, cook in low to medium heat.
Step 3: When bottom is cooked, add the crumbled goat cheese.
Step 4: Fold the omelette in half.
Step 5: Plate it and top it with shaved truffle or drizzle truffle oil.

Happy eating!

My Style on Instagram

First of all, thank you for all your sweet comments about posting my outfits on Instagram. Thanks too for not judging me. Haha!

Like what I mentioned before, I’m still not used to posting what I wore on Instagram. Actually, I forget to take photos of my outfits. Oh well…

Anyway, I was looking at my old Instagram pics and found these:

Over the shoulder coats

Wearing a coat or blazer draped over the shoulders is another way of sporting your jacket. The style reminds me of Grace Kelly.

I’m no Grace Kelly but I like the idea of wearing my coat as a cape…for a change.

I can tell you though, based on my experience during my last trip to cold Shanghai (I will blog about my trip soon) a few weeks ago, this way of wearing your coat is fussy. It’s only good for photo ops but it’s a pain in the butt to wear it especially when it’s 9 degrees cold! Haha!

I find that this ‘coat over the shoulder’ style is purely aesthetics. Between holding a clutch, my phone, and trying keep the coat from falling off my shoulder, it’s a losing battle.

I say, take an Instagram photo of your outfit then button up!

Shoppingero/shoppingera, do you or would you wear a jacket like a cape?

My Style on Instagram

I’m not one to post my outfits on my blog or on Instagram. In fact, you could count in one hand the number of times I took photos of my wardrobe and blogged about it. I’ve always felt funny about posting what I wear for everyone to “Like”. One of my friends would even comment about people who post their outfits: “Editorial ang peg?” (Read: nagyayabang ng outfitey). Haay, JUDGES! I don’t want to be judged! Haha!

During a recent trip to Shanghai, I was asked by Stylebible.ph‘s Isha Andaya if she could take photos of what I wore. Apparently, according to her, my “fans” (NAAAKS!) wanted to see my outfits.

True enough, after posting the photo of my attire on Previewthestylebible‘s Instagram, it got a lot of “Likes”! Aww…

Thanks Stylebible.ph and Isha!

Since then, I started posting some of my outfits on Instagram and Twitter… for the “fans”… I love my “fans”! So please don’t judge me.

One of the first photos of my outfit that I posted on Instagram (below) has garnered 751 “Likes” and 53 wonderful comments! That’s a lot considering I used to get an average of only 50-100 “Likes” per (non-outfit)  photo. NKKLK!

"It was so hot today, I wore ice skates! Haha! #summer #veryverylight"

Hope some of these outfits I posted on Instagram inspire you. They’re my work clothes:

LBD.

"Eto na ang "Ayala girl"! Haha! #workinggirl #ayalaavenue #aray #bandaid"

LWD.

"Not in black. #veryverylight #summer"

Chambray + White jeans

"Repeat performance ang outfit ko today. #sowhat #favorite ♡"

I’m still not used to posting my outfits. Also, I’m so busy that I forget to take photos. Please remind me on Twitter, OK?
