There has been non-stop rainfall for six consecutive days in Manila. The cool weather brought by the rain is a welcome change from the scorching summer we’ve experienced in the city but at the same time, the traffic jams and flooding in some areas have been overwhelming. Going from a meeting to a shoot and then attending an event plus a quick stop at the grocery all in the same day can be a challenge. It’s crucial to wear something easy, stylish, and water-resistance while looking appropriate for the daily goings-on.
While in a meeting, I received a call from the house and it was my son:
Dylan: “Mom, we’re out of bananas. And dad needs eggs. Aryanna wants cereals too. Don’t forget, OK?”

When it comes to busy rainy days, I go for khaki & camo!
I paired my trusted water-resistant trench coat with a lightweight turtle neck top and camouflage jeans for work and play. I just swap shoes (flat black ankle boots to nude pumps) in the car to change up the look from presentation to party. Since I’ve got multiple pockets, I skipped the bag and dumped my essentials in the pockets. I also wore a dark berry lippie for some pop of color and a dainty pinkish nail polish to contrast my outfit’s neutral tones. Sunglasses are optional para hindi magdilim ang paningin, haha!
It’s easy to recreate this outfit because whether you choose designer or fast fashion pieces, in my opinion, the look remains elegant and cool at the same time.
Oh, I managed to swing by the grocery and got everything my son requested plus, a new lip color from the beauty aisle. #LifeIsBalance #LifeIsGood
