“Face Lift” in a Bottle

First of all, thank you La Prairie for gifting me the Skin Caviar Liquid Lift. I’ve been hearing about this product from beauty junkies and I’ve always wanted to try it. Now, my “La Prairie” has been answered!

I’ve only tried La Prairie Skin Caviar Liquid Lift for a few days and I have to say, I got instant gratification from using this product – it’s “face lift” in a bottle!

This is my kind of caviar, non-fattening! Haha!

I’m ready!

How to apply:

Step 1: For first time use, activates Skin Caviar Liquid Lift by removing the outer cap, pressing the activator.

Step 2: Shake the bottle vigorously to blend.

There was a part of me that didn’t want to shake the container as I know I would lose the golden beads. Anyway, time to release the goodness…

Step 3: Pump to dispense one or two drops into palm of hand. Using the fingertips, smooth all over face and neck.

This post is way overdue, but as some of you may know, I’ve had health issues that I had to deal with the last few weeks. My world pretty much stopped because of it. Anyway, I have two great news for you!

Great news no. 1: After a nail biting experience of waiting on the results of my tests, I’m happy to report that my mammogram and biopsies results are benign, “not remarkable”, and non-cancerous! Thank you, Lord! Thanks for all your prayers too!

Great news no. 2: Ever since the launch of Karl Lagerfeld x Shu Uemura collection, makeup junkies around the world pretty much wiped out the shelves of Shu Uemura stores. The collection sold out faster than you can say “Mon Shu!”

Calendar Girls, Part 1

Sing it! “I love, I love, I love my calendar girl… Each and every day of the year…”

First of all, Happy 30th Anniversary Facial Care Centre!

To commemorate 30 years as a leader in non-invasive, premium skin care, Facial Care Centre has come up with a beauty calendar that will depict various interpretations of beauty, because nowadays, it comes in various forms. Gone are the days when only a particular kind of beauty is admired. Today, people have different opinions, they revel in uniqueness, freedom of expression and choice. Some go for the classic mestiza look, others for natural Filipina features as their beauty ideals. For some, beauty is in the way women move, carry themselves, or how real and simple they look, any time of day. “We wanted to capture all those in this calendar and what better way to do it than to ask all the endorsers of FCC to pose for it,” explains Irene Dujunco-Stacy, Facial Care Centre’s Group Marketing Manager.

Facial Care Centre (FCC) is one of the beauty treatment facilities in the country and one of the biggest supporters of my blog. So when they invited me to pose for their 2013 calendar… I thought twice. Haha! What I mean is, at first I said no (I’m familiar with FCC’s gorgeous celebrity endorsers so there was a lot of pressure to level up! Haha!), but because of Irene Dujunco-Stacy and NJ Torres’ sweet persuasions, I said: Sige na nga, girrrl! Yes! LOL

My Top 5 Beauty Picks

I love the “skin, skin” look.

Flawless looking skin and light scents are the best! It keeps one looking “young” and smelling fresh all day despite occasional ngarag moments.

Here are my current favorites:

Clockwise:

NARS Skin Aqua Gel Luminous Mask. There are two things I do to freshen the look of my skin: Monthly facials and skin treatments at Facial Care Centre and weekly facial masks at home.

Hierbas De Ibiza Agua De Colonia Fresca. The Spaniards have really perfected the grown-up baby fresh scent! I spritz this cologne throughout the day. Babying-baby lang ang pakiramdam! LOL

Laura Mercier Mascara. Ever since I got LASIK surgery done, I could finally wear mascara without irritating my eyes! Yay for LASIK and for Laura Mercier Mascara!

NARS Skin Gentle Cream Cleanser. I have dry and sensitive skin, this is one of the gentle cleansers that work for me.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20. Hands down, this is my favorite of the lot! I use this everyday. It moisturizes, protects my skin, has minimal coverage and doesn’t leave a stickyfeeling. Loooooove this! Tinitipid ko ‘to! Haha!

Quick Drying Nail Polish (5 Mins.)

You know the drill: paint nails, put quick dry oil, oil gets on everything you touch—your mobile phone, iPad, keyboard, leather bag, wallet, face, and so on, wait for the polish to dry, then just when you thought the polish was rock hard you put a dent in it… redo process… Argh!!!
